I met Gigi Williams of Fashology at a Boston Bloggers event this fall, and since I am not the most fashionable traveler, I asked her to recommend the three things you shouldn’t travel without if you want to have an easy, fun and fashionable trip.
One can learn so much thru traveling – wherever you go can be an adventure! When exploring, it is important to be comfortable and practical, but this doesn’t mean you can’t also be fashionable. Here are my three favorite items to keep you functional and fabulous.
What You Shouldn’t Travel Without
1. Hanging Organizer
This piece is a travel necessity. It helps keep your toiletries and beauty supplies together. There is nothing worse than being disorganized while traveling and this will definitely keep you together. This one in particular is Vera Bradley, available in other prints or solids.
2. Backpack
Backpacks are the new handbags. Not only are they easy to carry but allow for hands-free adventuring. To ensure fabulous travels I would suggest this Wolfepack by Gina deWolfe. This genuine leather bag is chic, functional and versatile. You can bring it on your next trip to give you an effortless look, or carry it every day for the same effect.
3. A Little Black Dress
This wardrobe staple is essential for traveling. Not only can you dress up your simple “LBD,” you can dress it down. You can wear sneakers with your dress by day – I like to pair mine with Chuck Taylors to explore my favorite cities like Lisbon – and then heels for the evening. AND it is so easy to accessorize with scarves or jewelry. I would suggest an easy-to-pack little black dress. This one, by Canadian line Sympli the Best, is a wrinkle-free blend. Literally I can role it into a ball and it won’t wrinkle.
These are my top picks for an instantly chic travel wardrobe. I hope this helps you pack for your next adventure. Happy travels!
